senior challenge day 17

What are you going to miss the least.

» The Mission stereotype

senior challenge day 16: Most surprising friend.

Well. Isn’t she awkward! I never thought I’d become good friends with this girl. I didn’t realize she was in like four of my classes until like second semester. She’s a valedictorian and I’m a super slacker! She burps really loud and likes to wear shiny things. She’s also probably going to kill me for posting this picture. Anyways, even though I bother her everyday and we have such big differences, we still talk; without her, I’d probably be failing Richards, and forgetting what’s due in AP English and Physics xD

senior challenge day 15: Favorite break (winter/spring/summer/thanksgiving/3daywknd) memory.

Cruise to Mexico with my friends (and parents). 24/7 buffet. Midnight walks and mahjong. 5 hour monopoly game. Best 3 days ever! :]

senior challenge day 13

Hardest class.

I’m inclined to say that my hardest class was Honors Chem. Although AP Physics this year was challenging, I kind of didn’t really try at all because, well, I’m a senior, and grades didn’t really matter anymore — I also don’t get credit for taking AP Physics B.. Fendell was quite hard actually, especially with his Ted and Sally word problems.Oh well, hopefully, my classes in the future arn’t as hard..

senior challenge day 11: Memorable spur of the moment hangout.

San Diego trip during spring break 2010 because everyone was going down to visit. Most spontaneous 3 days ever!

Spontaneous SF trips are definitely up there too! ;]

senior challenge day 12: Biggest regret.

Caring too much about certain things that I will not mention on a public blog.

senior challenge day 09: Favorite picture.

photocred: dorothy lin

This photo was taken on one of those 4am hikes that coincidentally happened to land on my birthday two years ago :]

senior challenge day 10: How you spent your most enjoyable lunch(es).

I think my most enjoyable lunch was probably my first Chipotle trip after I got my licence. I reconnected with an old friend and we ended up getting there late and getting Panera instead!

Favorite teacher.

Favorite teacher definitely is Mr. Karmali for Honors Precalc. He was quite the wakeup call after having Mrs. Sugden for Alg2/Trig which was beyond easy. He is an awesome teacher who made math kind of fun, especially with his jokes and his sometimes ridiculous test questions! I’ll always remember to start number the agenda from 0 and that the graphing calcuator is an NBOX!

senior challenge day 07: Favorite book you read in English class.

“Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgiastic future that year by year recedes before us.”

I’ve read many amazing books this year, but I really enjoyed The Great Gatsby last year. It has a certain hidden elegance, and really embodied what I believed to be characteristic of a true dream and passion. I’m not quite sure why, but I really like Fitzgerald’s style — especially after reading some Hemingway.

senior challenge day 06: Your favorite dance/prom/etc memory.

Well, I have had quite a few crazy nights, but May 29th topped the list. I haven’t been to many dances, but senior ball was definitely one of the best nights I’ve had in my life. Words can’t really even begin to describe how much fun that night was, so I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. Thanks for making prom such an amazing night Mika!

I look really asian in this photo because I’m smiling too much LOL.photocred: frances tao

senior challenge day 05

Hardest you’ve ever studied:

The only memory I have to studying and cramming for a test was probably way back in freshman year for the second semester honors biology final.. I know that’s a really long time ago, and back then, I cared a lot more about my grades than I did for the next three years. I studied for almost 5 hours on biology because my grade was slightly below an 89.5%. Ironically, I think I got 2 points short what I needed on the final and ended up with an 89.4%, but Ishimine somehow ended up giving me an A-. I’m not really sure, maybe I forgot to add in extra credit or something when calculating my grade, but hey, I’m not complaining!

senior challenge day 03: Most fun class.

YEARBOOK. There’s nothing else like it.

senior challenge day 04: Your greatest accomplishment.

Well, I thought I’d post these two together since I missed one and since they’re pretty much on the same topic. Collaborating to create the Costanoan v46 was probably my greatest accomplishment. The joy of finally seeing our pages transformed from a mere digital copy to a full scale print is simply breathtaking.

day 02: Favorite group project.

Well, filming “Yellow Fever” last year was probably one of the best group projects ever. From wading in the creek to taking care of my two sickly children Felix and Stephanie, and editing the video til 2am, this project was definitely one of the best memories from junior year — the decade report was pretty fun as well.

To redeem myself for my below average video projects last year in English, I helped film part of the cheesiest and corny chickflick ever, “Everlasting Love” and surprisingly, it was quite successful :]

senior challenge day 01

First memory of high school.

Finding out that Eugene Yang was actually Korean even though he was in my Mandarin 3 class.
